Pavel Smutný is one of our firm’s three founders. He holds a degree from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. He has also previously served as an expert under the OECD’s New Democracies Programme. In his many years of legal practice, Pavel Smutný has specialised in international investment relations and commercial law. He is the president of the Czech-Israeli Mutual Chamber of Commerce, which promotes mutual trade between the two countries and develops scientific research initiatives, and is a member of several other international chambers of commerce. He has also been involved in the establishment of several important Czech economic projects, such as the National Development Fund. Pavel Smutný is a prominent Czech philanthropist and president of the BOHEMIAN HERITAGE FUND, which promotes Czech culture and artists.
